Specs: 2008 Volvo XC90 GVWR

If someone asked about the GVWR of a certain vehicle, what would you say? I was recently asked that question about the 2008 Volvo XC90 and didn't know exactly what it meant. Thankfully, a quick Google search revealed the definition.
"The maximum permissible loaded weight of the vehicle and takes into account the capabilities of the engine, transmission, frame, spring, brakes, axles and tires."

Retread Glossary
The basic idea is that the manufacturer has designed the vehicle to handle safely up to a certain total weight. That weight includes passengers, cargo, fuel, and the weight of the vehicle. (Note here how the number of passengers affects the towing capabilities of the XC90.) According to page 259 of the 2008 Volvo XC90 Owner's Manual, the GVWR varies according the model you purchase.
