Old Blue

Cleaning often leads to interesting finds in our basement. The first picture is a scan of a print of our first SAAB — a 1988 900 8-valve. The first shot was taken at the Empty Nest Bed & Breakfast in Logan, Ohio a few years back. Sharon and I celebrated one of our anniversaries there. The second was taken after I did some paint work on the rust spots. (Notice the maroon lamb's wool seat covers?)

I also found the 1988 manual with an interesting history of the SAAB-Scania company on page two. Click on the picture to read the write-up. But before you do, can you guess who produced the first factory-built automobile in Sweden?
