The answer to Mystery Car XVII may be found here and here. The company made a number of these cars based on the Jaguar XJS, but under the different name. Jaguar did test the waters itself with a prototype XJ40 Estate (pictured to the right), but never chose to produce it. It's too bad that they didn't. It wouldn't be until 2005 that a Jaguar wagon was produced by its new owner Ford Motor Company.
