Fuel Economy

A bigger engine, more horsepower, and a trip through the Allegheny mountains: how would the new car fare? The web site fueleconomy.gov told me to expect somewhere around 20 mpg from the 4.0 I-6. But after 17 years, would it be less? I was happily surprised to find that it did better than expected. See my figures below:

115,922 filled up
115,551 filled up
_______

371 miles
15.35 gallons

24.17 mpg!
